easter at Thurning

i'm not going to lie - today I am struggling.. a pub lunch may of gone on a little longer than expected! hey ho i've had a little dip, dip, fizz and are feeling a little less hazy!

so i finally got round to going through the photos from Easter at Thurning Hall, which is tucked away in the heart of Nofolk.. tiny roads lead to it only which we took on in dads little landy dotty.. funnily enough i was watching Pride and Prejudice as I was editing the photos which is exactly what the house felt and looked like, a Jane Austen novel. a statuesque building, with beautiful gardens and amazing interiors. It's still a family home so it's lovely they've managed to keep that georgian feel but also have it as a real homely home with family photos and eater decorations adoring the interiors. the gardens are exquisite and at the time full of the colour and smell of bluebells as well as the delicious pink of blossom.. there was a little hidden out building hidden behind a wooden door with fireplace and candle holders all covered in ivy - oh so romantic.

The family put on a wonderful Easter day for us all.. a lunch of crusty bread, yummy cheese, home cooked ham and amazing pickles and salads - what else could one want! they set up a dining room in the house that had daffodils for centre pieces and easter decorations tucked here there and everywhere..

I'll upload the rest of the photos later.. there were far to many to choose from especially during the easter egg hunt!

  5. This looks beyond beautiful - I'm surprised you ever left, I would have made a little home in that outbuilding. It's like something from a book. Is this somewhere you hired for the weekend or do you know the family who own it? Either way, next time can I come!?

I'm off for another look at your photos - there's nothing else for it! x
