the bake off

so we're all trying to convince my mum to enter the great British bake off... we've all loved watching it and have been giggling all the way through with mum saying she should enter it! she's being far to modest and saying she's not good enough but I think we're wearing her down! has anyone else been watching it..?

this is one of mums latest offering for the table.. a colourful jewelled cake - which apparently is really easy!from what I'm told it also tasted delicious - even though as it's mainly cream I wouldn't know! I loved the colours and thought it looked amazing and had a real impact - perfect for a celebration dinner party!

for the recipe click here - it's from Sprinkle Bakes which has so many wonderful creative recipes on there it's just worth a flick through!

  5. Wow, wow, wow - your Mum should so enter The Great British Bake Off. If her cakes always look as yummy as that and Jen & Adam's cake then she would be amazing for the show. So sad it has finished. Not too sure what to do on Tuesday nights anymore! xx

  6. Amazing! She should definitely enter, the colours are so vivid.

I just watched the final and it made me rather hungry, so I have to admit that I'm a teeny bit glad it's all over as I am trying to lose weight!

  7. I agree fen and ned Cathy's comment is hilarious! did you see his magic hands in the tutorial show on thursday night.. at one point it got too much for me and I had to turn away! I do love a silver fox!

umm I think I'm pleased who won.. but I kinda liked them all.. holly for her anilines.. very like my boy and what ever he does - MA for her love and creativity - and jo for her sweetness and attitude.. tricky! who do you think should of won..?

Thanks everyone else for your comments.. we're slowly wearing her down.. even though she burnt my chelsea buns I made earlier so she's in my bad books.. even though it was her that made the dough and mixture.. I just rolled it.. even though bad mummy! But she made up with it for the yumminess that was Banana and white chocolate brownies.. yum yum yum!
